I pledge right here and now to NOT vote for McCain in the general election
(don't know if I'd go so far as to vote for either of the Dem candidates,
though). I'm not one who will vote the party line just to vote the party
line. If the party nominee is fundamentally flawed (in this case, the fact
that he is truly more of a Dem and almost jumped ship a few short years
ago), then I can not support him. Ask yourselves this, fellow Repubs, if
Obama gets the nod from the Dems and the Repubs don't have a clear winner,
if Clinton were to suddenly jump ship and win a brokered Republican
convention, would you vote for her in the general election? If your answer
is no, then I would take a serious look at your reasons for backing McCain.
Vote for who you believe in, people, but have the cohones to stand up for
your convictions.
